The veteran private torrent tracker that was a favorite among many torrenters (for over 4 years), shut down for good due to a number of different reasons including legal issues. While the loss of ScT indeed shook the BitTorrent community, it's impact was somewhat minimized thanks to a number of other trackers coming forth to help ex- ScT members.
